NOTE 01 ยท EVERYDAY PLACES

Taking the long way home.

The shortest route is not always the one we remember.

There is a particular kind of attention that comes with walking without a deadline. Windows become frames. A wall becomes a collection of textures. Even a familiar corner offers something that wasn't there yesterday, or perhaps was there all along.

Leave a little space

Try leaving the headphones in your pocket for a few minutes. Listen to the change in sound as the street narrows, the wind moves through a tree, or an open doorway lets a conversation drift outside.

Nothing extraordinary needs to happen. A walk can simply be a pause between one part of the day and the next.

Bring one thing back

A detail is enough: the shape of a shadow, the colour of a painted door, a sentence you want to remember. Write it down before the rest of the day carries it away.
